"MM 837" is a piece I wrote for one of my favorite patients who left a deep, passionate impression on my heart. She was a retired Army helicopter pilot who met an untimely death with multiple brain tumors. I was fortunate enough to work with her for over a month in the hospital before her passing. In one of our many conversations, she told me she had a secret passion for 80s music, and loved playing piano. This is a celebration and dedication that she never got to hear (in this world, at least).
